This barbarism is not new. Progressivism has been the bane of America’s culture for well over a century. Starting with the prog women in 1890 and their war on alcohol resulting in prohibition, progressives has littered our society and stifled the very premise the country was found on. Venturing so far away from the Founders’ ideas of pursuit of happiness has been a major craw stuck in the Progressives’ proverbial ass. Their atrocious behavior has been masked as greater good warm fuzzies, they have torn at the societal fabric and continued with unrest even when prohibition went down in flames.

Wilson didn’t capitulate but the House and Senate overruled his veto thus making prohibition law of the land for 20 years until abolished by FDR. The sad part is by giving in to the heretics, they emboldened them to make bigger and far more catastrophic asks. In addition, the prohibition era gave rise to a bigger problem. The Mafia. Organized crime took root as Americans were not going to give up their liquor legal or illegal.

Fast forward to the late 1990s and the Clinton era. Their bent on Progressive policies were often framed in such a way that it gave the public the idea these measures were to protect them not hinder their inalienable rights. They foolishly began falling prey to restrictions — under the guise of health. Indoor smoking in bars, restaurants and apartment complexes, while did enhance the environment removing the stench of chemical dowsed tobacco, it was the beginnings of framing things in the spirit of health rather than the real end goal — removing the rights the Constitution ensured all. The tribalism took root and Progressives rejoiced in their achievements of bending the public’s will to placate a minority.

Yes. Progressivism has been the root of about 90% of the country’s biggest problems both domestically and internationally as their will was not much good enough for stateside adherence, they demanded the same compliance from other countries.

But what to do? Several proposals to remove progressivism have been put forth but it will never leave our land until the collective group of citizens demand it gone. The refusal to accept the PETA, Greenpeace and global warming fallacies that permeate not only legislation but culture in America will be the only real path forward. As FDR did in 1933 with the abolishment of prohibition, the progressives will, once again, be forced to accept their minority status and quit dinking with the rights set forth in the US Constitution.

In short in order for the American Experiment to thrive and prosper, the progressive movement must be put in its place or given an invitation to move elsewhere.
